I am a native to San Diego, born in 1954 to wonderful parents, the best big sister and a dog. As a youngster I attended the Presbyterian church, singing in the choir and attending vacation Bible school in the summers with
my sister.
I enjoyed my early childhood playing a lot in the canyons behind our house. I have always been deeply drawn to nature and especially animals. One day while riding on my skateboard, I ran over a lizard and killed it. I scooped him up, took him home and put him in a shoebox, added lots of flowers, then took him to a hill in the canyon where I buried him and said a prayer. That started my "Side Hill Cemetery". For some years, whenever my friends or I would find a dead
animal or lose a pet, we marched to "Side Hill Cemetery" and had a funeral ceremony. It was a special sacred place. I became very upset when a sign went up that said the area was going to be developed! I was happily relieved when I found out what they were going to build there. A church!
I remember early on in life feeling connected to some thing larger than myself, feeling like I had a "forever friend" that was always with me. Today I am clear that this is Spirit and It still holds
that magical feeling inside me.
When I was nine I got a new baby sister and learned about being a big sister. When I was 13 our family moved from San Diego to a suburb of Chicago and I learned about winters and snow. Three years later we moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where I finished high school then a year later got married. After more moves to Kansas City and back to Illinois, I finally returned to my beloved California in 1976. I am happy today for the experience of knowing other parts
of the country and having friends in many places. I also think I appreciate the beauty and the gift of living in this area more than if I had never left it.
In 1980 my little sister, Stacey, died from a head injury when she was 16. It was a big lesson about life for me to experience her death. We were very close. I learned not to take anything or anyone for granted.
I understood what is meant by "Live every day as if it was your last". Today I still sense her and I know without a doubt the continuity of life is real. She continues to be one of my greatest teachers.
A dear friend gave me a copy of a 'Science of Mind' magazine in 1984 and I have been reading them ever since. It began my journey in Religious Science! One Easter while searching, I stepped into Seaside Church, at the time in Solana Beach. I knew in 5 minutes that I found
my spiritual home. There were about 40 members and the time was B.C. (before Christian). I was touched by the genuine love and support that was there. I found myself wanting to experience more of this teaching, so I enrolled in Foundations Class with Rev. Doreen Williams. Then another big gift came into my life; our new minister, Rev. Christian Sorensen! I took the second year of studies from him. I knew how fortunate I was to have a master teacher and
mentor. I continued on to the practitioner 1 class, blessed by the powerful goddess energy and wisdom of practitioner Jo Florit followed by the Practitioner 2 class with Rev. Christian. Those years of classes are still without a doubt the best gift I have ever given myself. My life evolved with the shift in consciousness. I became single again, changed career paths and allowed myself the freedom to be authentic. I was now living from a peaceful center that I know is mine forever. I
found the extreme love of Spirit. I became a licensed practitioner in1994. Being a practitioner is the highest calling in my life. It is an absolute honor for me.
Today, I have the privilege of teaching classes at Seaside. In teaching them, I get to take them again myself, each time going deeper into the Christ Consciousness. I have facilitated Self-Mastery, Spiritual Practices, and the Practitioner 2 classes. Every one of my students has been a great teacher to me. The circle of life
is amazing.
I enjoy living in Cardiff by the Sea in a peaceful home overlooking a lagoon and the whitewater of the Pacific with my beloved mate of seven years; J.D. and a 12-year-old Labrador/ rottweiller mix named Barney. It's a home filled with love.
I recently birthed the Animal Ministry at Seaside called Wagging Tails. Please visit its page on this site. It is a natural ministry for me. I was told once that there is no mistake that if you spell God backwards you get Dog. To
me, they are such a reflection of Spirits unconditional love!
In my practitioner work it is my privilege to be the one to remind you of who you really are when you may forget. I offer a confidential safe setting in which to explore your core beliefs and reveal the truth in your life. I truly honor the perfection that each one of us is. Going deep into Self-discovery is my passion. For information about scheduling a time for a personal session, my fee, or questions or comments

I thank Seaside, and especially Rev. Christian for allowing me a place to serve, to grow, to learn, to love and be loved. Blessings to you all. Nameste. Return to Main Practitioner Page |
