In Search of God Chapter 2, Page 3 Rev. James Pottenger was a student and friend of Dr. Ernest Holmes, founder of Religious Science. Ernest was a mentor to James and before Ernest passed away, he asked James Pottenger to continue the exploration into spiritual research, into the lesser known
spiritual practices all over the world, areas that require illumination. Ernest was concerned that the Religious Science movement would become stultified, unchanging. So he charged James Pottenger with the responsibility of investigating world religions and spiritual practices. After forming the Los Angeles Community Church of Religious Science where he served as Senior Minister for many years, James retired to Jamul, California to form the Dodona Church
of Religious Science, a little known independent Religious Science organization that serves the world through Ministries devoted to further research and investigation into New Thought spirituality. For the past 10 years, James Pottenger has been writing a book entitled SCIENCE OF SPIRIT, the evolution of SCIENCE OF MIND. There exists
