Seaside's Vision is to be a spiritual nexus inspiring people to live their dreams.
Our Purpose is: Celebrating our Divinity, Loving our Humanity, Serving our Community.

I was doing some gardening this week. I planted some squash seeds and they were popping up, starting to show themselves and there was this one spot that nothing was happening. I looked and it's brothers and sisters were doing OK, but, sitting right there was this big old dirt clog. I knocked away this dirt clog, broke it up and underneath there was this twisted and contorted little seedling. Since I was working on this talk about fear, today, it was just so obvious that that clog represents those fears, those prejudices, those adversities, those things that weigh us down, that allow us to twist and contort our mind and our thinking, that allow us to move away from Faith, as opposed to knowing with a greater sense of assurance. God hasn't given us that spirit of fear -- as was said in Timothy -- but, one of love. So if you are experiencing fear, if you are experiencing that kind of energy, that is the time to go back, to realize that 'Hey, maybe I am off track, here. Maybe there is a lesson here. Maybe there is something to what Emerson is saying that it's on a course that is leading me to a greater level of Faith. Maybe I should take a look at myself and see what has been holding me in there. What we'll come to discover that has held us in bondage; that has held us to our prejudices; that has held us to that place is our insecurities. Those insecurities come from a place of insufficiency. And that insufficiency comes from a separation from an infinite Source that is seeking to express itself through us. We tend to visualize those fears, that realm of phenomenon, those outside effects instead of knowing the truth, lowly listening to that higher Self that is speaking.

Somebody asked Michael Jordan... Here he is taking the Chicago Bulls to the best record in basketball this year, sweeping through playoffs - they were talking to him and one of the things he said, 'I never think about the consequences of missing a big shot.' I never think about the consequences of missing a big shot -- that's just not part of his thinking. If he misses the shot he gets to deal with it, but, that's not even part of the make up. When it comes right down to that crunch, when it comes down to that important moment, it's not based upon fear. 'Give me the ball. I'm the one who wants to come through, at that time.'
