| What an emotional week.  I woke up yesterday, to Elton John's song playing along with the visual montage of Princess Diana's life. What an emotional impact on my soul and spirit. Seven Practitioners in our Prayer Circle, sat in prayer and connected with Spirit. There was a lot of pain and sorrow this week. Mother Theresa will now fill the airwaves. These two
Women, the tall Princess Diana, the short Mother Theresa who accepted her Nobel Peace Prize wearing a one dollar Sari. The impact was profound. Did you feel Something? Something happened. I looked inside myself - what came to my mind - you know how I have talked about "Noosphere", a Global Brain, instant communications, simultaneously discussed in new thought circles. What is missing is . . .
The Global Heart.
Two billion people watched and experienced this. Yesterday the emergence of the Global Heart uniting on this planet like nothing that happened before. This is as profound as John Glenn who popped out of the atmosphere into space and gazed back to the Earth in wonderment. We are now experiencing the emergence and feeling of the Global Heart. When something happens of this magnitude. Something happened that changes our lives.
What happened last week with these historic women were two clear examples of what people, as individuals, can do. Just One person, connected with that force becomes a profound power on the planet. We can give excuses: But I cannot do this. Well it's time to get off our Buts and get going.
When we refuse to buy into our fear and ego - (Edging God Out) - Spirituality is waiting for our recognition. Make something sacred by
acknowledging it. This is a sacred moment upon this Planet. When we choose to make this sacred, When we consecrate it, and put energy on it, we make something sacred. This is sacred stuff. People agree when they recognize something sacred.
Here is our Exercise for this week: When we honor something as sacred, look into mirror see our face, and see that it is sacred. It's time to get off our buts and get going with our spiritual work, finding time to work, to
do service. You can step away and go to the mountaintop to have a spiritual experience where spirit flows. Martin Luther King went to the mountaintop and came back, Jesus came back and shared that vision, Moses also went there and come back. It is time to go out there and be a prophet and be a light; it is up to you to see if it is real. Share that light. Spiritual work brings with it, rewarding opportunities.
Mother Theresa said:
"I know God would not give me anything I could not do. I wish He would have not trusted me with so much. I am a pencil in the hand of God."
Look at Theresa and at Diana. They are not known for what they have said; they are known for their actions. Their actions were an affirmation of their beliefs and connections with the Source.
Diana was human, look what one person can do when they give, when they are in service. She loved what she was doing. Those opportunities
are there. They come looking like work or chores, obligations.. If we step into it with passion we will feel richness. Like a blissful "karma yoga". The choice is ours. It is in our consciousness.
These women held babies with AIDS, and people with Leprosy. They did not believe they would catch a disease by touching someone. Where are you using those buts? Get off those Buts. Now is the time. Steven Grellet, a French quaker, who died in New Jersey said:
"I shall pass through this world but once, and any good I can do, or any kindness, that I can show any human being, let me do it now, and not defer it, for I shall not pass this way again."
What have you been deferring, what acts of kindness have you deferred, or telephone calls deferred, or say I forgive you to someone, I love you? There are no Buts, just go out and do it. There is more trust in the intuition. As we begin to listen to the heart we can make wrong
decisions, but listen, stop deferring, get the ego mind out of the way and get out there and do it.
We are meant to be used, to go out there, to live our lives, be in service, listen to passion and intuition and live in a way that brings harmony.
We must learn to take action in the world, We cannot just sit there. We have got to do something in our lives. A profound Prayer, a Global Heart and global energy - believe - and healing happens. We have go to get
offer our Buts, and allow God to help us break our inertia - and let God work us like a moving target. We must break that flow, and get moving. If we sit there we will revive that past stuff. Go to God and ask to be shown something bigger, show me the meaning, the significance. Something to ignite the world's comprehension, let me be a "mouth-peace" for it. Allow me to be someone who can speak spiritual truth in the midst of pain and suffering. All we do is punish ourselves. All
we have to do is talk to God, and we will find God talking back saying "I made You".
We must have a grown-up relationship with God. How many people have allowed themselves to become co-dependent on God, when we are looking outside to be saved from something, co-creation, one that allows us recognize the magnificence of our Being. We are Sacred Stuff. No matter what our spiritual background is, it seems we have already been
ingrained that spirituality is someplace other than where we are.
The heart that is birthing itself in an even greater way. For the healing of this planet which begins with us. It is essential we do not berate ourselves. Sometimes I wonder as a Minister and as a Man, 'How come I do not have a profound global impact?' Well, it begins where we are, here, right now. We can be healing influence on this world. We do not have to leave our families. God is emerging in a way greater than ever
before.
Allow the mundane to be sacred. Express ourselves. We get to choose our Service. This is the sacred place. Get off that But. That is up to us to know the truth that is God. Albert Schweitzer in speaking to a boys school in 1935 said:
"I do not know what you will be. The only ones among you who will be happy are those have sought and found out how to serve".
Diana and Mother Theresa were known for their Service and Givingness.
We saw the world's heart unfold. It was so fulfilling to see the Planet unite in a loving expression. It was a reconfirmation to know people inherently are good. How can we find ways to serve. The choice is ours on what it is. The American Health Magazine, The University of Michigan research center has proved:
"More than any activity, volunteerism promotes longevity more than anything else."
When we step out there, we will be joining hands with Mother Theresa -
Mahatma Gandi - Princess Diana, St. Francis - people known for compassion. Their love, that consciousness still permeates, is still alive, when we choose to participate in life on that level, we are participating with those individuals who have graced our planet with that kind of Givingness.
This week I have tried to learn my lessons, and have looked for answers that would bring peace to my consciousness. Here is a time on our planet
that we have been asked to step beyond the bounds of our humaness and go to God. For as long as we look for the answers in this world, we will be stuck in this world, but when we choose to go to God, we will find that the hand of God has the answers and the ways, and an understanding that is beyond this world, an inner peace that resolves the conflict.
St. Augustine says: "one cannot rest until we rest in God. How do we rest in God?
"FIND WAYS TO SERVE."
Someone asked a Guru or Swami: How do you arrive at that blissful state, Master? The answer was one word SERVE.
And as we serve as we connect with Source, as we have that experience with God, we become that experience. We become that Life expression God is having.
The choice is ours as to where we want to direct our attention - to the chaos to the mayhem, to the media hype - or do we want to direct it to the Global Consciousness. The choice is ours.
